Courage To Keep Moving Forward

Courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s choosing to move forward in spite of it. Every great accomplishment in history was born out of someone daring to act when everything inside them said, “Turn back.” True courage is not found in our own strength but in trusting God to carry us through.

1. Courage Starts With Faith

Joshua was told three times in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and of a good courage…for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Courage doesn’t come from pretending we’re fearless—it comes from remembering we’re never alone. When fear whispers, “You can’t,” God declares, “I am with you.”

2. Small Steps Lead to Big Victories

Sometimes courage looks like facing a giant; other times, it’s simply getting out of bed when life feels heavy. Don’t underestimate small acts of bravery. Each step forward builds strength for the battles ahead.

3. Courage Inspires Others

Your courage doesn’t just change you—it encourages those watching. When David faced Goliath, his faith stirred the hearts of an entire nation. The way you handle challenges can become the spark someone else needs to face their own.

4. God Rewards Courage

Stepping out in courage may not always be easy, but it always positions you for God’s blessing. Fear holds you back, but courage opens the door for miracles. As 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Final Thought

Courage is not a one-time choice—it’s a daily decision. Each day, you have the opportunity to silence fear and walk in faith. Take that step, face that challenge, pursue that dream. God has equipped you with everything you need.

Be courageous today—because the God within you is greater than the obstacles before you.
