Keep Your Eyes On The Goal

Every great achievement in life begins with a goal. Goals give us direction, focus, and motivation. Without them, life can feel like driving without a map—busy, but not necessarily heading anywhere meaningful.

Proverbs 29:18 reminds us, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Vision and goals work together. Your goals are the stepping stones that bring your vision to life. They turn dreams into action.

Think about a runner in a race. Their eyes are fixed on the finish line, not on the distractions around them. In the same way, when we set clear goals, we stay focused, even when life gets tough. Goals remind us why we started in the first place and keep us moving forward.

Here are three reminders for you today as you pursue your goals:

Set goals that stretch you. If your goals don’t challenge you, they won’t change you. Growth happens outside of your comfort zone. Take consistent steps. Goals are not reached overnight but through steady, daily progress. Small steps compound into big victories. Seek God’s direction. Our goals should align with His will. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”

Remember: A goal without action is just a wish. Don’t just dream—decide, plan, act, and trust God to guide your steps.

Clean Joke to Lighten the Day:

Why did the goal-setter bring a ladder to work?

Because they were aiming high!

Closing Thought:

What is one goal you can start working toward today? Don’t wait for the “perfect” time—it rarely comes. Begin where you are, use what you have, and trust God to bless your effort.
