Tell Your Problems About Jesus

Tell Jesus about your problems,  but also tell your problems about Jesus–

It has always been rough when meeting up with the “bully”. Satan is the bully of all bullies.

As the old American Express commercial used to say “Don’t Leave home without it”…..meaning American Express. I say, instead, don’t leave home without Him, Jesus!

Satan is not afraid of you, but he backs up and trembles at the name of Jesus. Remind the bully, and your problems, that you know Jesus, and that He checks in on you very often. He would not take kindly to anyone roughing you up.

Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord! I have read and heard about bullying being a major problem at schools. That is not the only place where it is happening. So, let Jesus give you a hand with the bully.

How Shall We Escape If We Neglect Our Salvation

Hebrew 2. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4/20–Coronavirus Is Not The Only Thing That is Contagious

Story:

4/20–  Once when a Lion was asleep a little Mouse began running up and down upon him; this soon wakened the Lion, who placed his huge paw upon him, and opened his big jaws to swallow him. “Pardon, O King,” cried the little Mouse: “forgive me this time, I shall never forget it: who knows but what I may be able to do you a turn some of these days?” The Lion was so tickled at the idea of the Mouse being able to help him, that he lifted up his paw and let him go. Some time after the Lion was caught in a trap, and the hunters who desired to carry him alive to the King, tied him to a tree while they went in search of a waggon to carry him on. Just then the little Mouse happened to pass by, and seeing the sad plight in which the Lion was, went up to him and soon gnawed away the ropes that bound the King of the Beasts. “Was I not right?” said the little Mouse. Little friends may prove great friends.

Scripture:

Proverbs 6:5

Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter,

and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Humor:

A sales-woman is driving home in the rain when she sees a little old lady walking by the roadside, heavily laden with shopping. Being a kindly soul, the sales-woman stops the car and invites the old lady to climb in. During their small talk, the old lady glances surreptitiously at a brown paper bag on the front seat between them. “If you are wondering what’s in the bag,” offers the sales-woman, “It’s a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband.” The little old lady is silent for a while, nods several times, and says …….. “Good trade.”

It Is Easy To Despise what You Don’t Have

One afternoon, a fox was walking through the forest and spotted a bunch of grapes hanging from a lofty branch. “Just the thing to quench my thirst,” he thought. Taking a couple of steps back, the fox jumped and just missed the hanging grapes. The fox tried again but still failed to reach them. Finally, giving up, the fox turned his nose up and said, “They’re probably sour anyway,” and walked away.

Moral of the story: It’s easy to despise what you can’t have.

4/18–Wisdom Is Gift

Story:

4/18–

A professor entered the classroom with half a glass of water in his hand. Students asked the old common question “Was it half empty or half full?” Hoped but amazed he asked them, “How heavy is this glass of water?”

The answers given by the students were ooze. Up to 25 oz. But the professor replied that the actual weight of the glass with water does not always differ but how long you hold the glass matters.

If you hold the glass for a minute, you will not feel much weight. But if you hold on for 10 minutes, you will feel a little heavier and it will be heavier for you for hours.

If you hold it all day, then your hands get numb and sore. This is the case when you have stress. If you think about it for a while and leave it, there is no problem but if you think about it for hours, it starts to become a problem and it gets worse if you sleep with it.

Moral

You need to learn to deal with stress and never sleep with it. If you can do something about it, just do it. In another case, skip it and work towards your goal or else it will kill your productivity.

Scripture:

Hebrews 12:1

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
