Waiting on opportunity to arrive– Some people associate the word waiting with a picture of waiting at the bus stop. Opportunity is not just going to magically show up at your door step and knock loudly. I seriously doubt it. Rather, I believe waiting means doing everything that you can do and then (and not until then) expect opportunity to be there. It will take a lot of patience though. Opportunity is made rather than it just happens. Whatever you sow is what you will reap. If you like apples, plan a lot of apple seeds. I love encouragement, so I try to sow a lot of encouragement seeds.

Eph 5:22-33. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Scripture:
Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Well the thing for you and me to do is just be content in whatever state we are in!
Philippians 4: 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I live right on the state line so if I get discontent in one state is Paul saying that I can move to the other state and be happy. No friend, just be happy with where you are at with whatever you have!
Be content with what you have because, you may be like Esau and get what you wanted but lose what you have. Or, you may be like Judas and get the thirty pieces of silver but lose what you already have.
Your wife may have gained a hundred pounds since the wedding, but you had better be thankful for her. She keeps your clothes pressed and the kids and house clean. If she has a good meal on the table three times a day, you might better hold on to her!
Wives, your husband may have gained a hundred pounds and lost his hair. But if he makes you and your children a good living, loves and takes care of you and your kids, you’d better not let him go either. So many people have traded something good off to find out that it was much better than what they traded for.
If you have food on the table, a savings account, didn’t have to sleep in a car, you are so much better off than millions who don’t have those things. There are people overseas who would almost paddle a canoe to get to the United States and be where you are at. You had better be thankful! We have a life that some people only dream about. You had better hang on to your place and what you have got, there are people who would gladly trade with you.

Excerpt From “Live First, Die Last” By J D Canter Available in Kindle Amazon:
There are “get by prayers”and then there are “sure nuff”, “bold prayers”! A get by prayer is Lord help me have enough to get by a bold prayer is Lord help me have an abundance so that not only can I get by but that I can see that others get by too.A get by prayer is God help me pay my bills, a bold prayer is Lord help me to have enough to pay my bills with plenty left over to help some others. A get by prayer is Lord help me to make it, a bold prayer is not only help me make it but that I could help others too.
When Elijah was about to go away he asked Elisha what he wanted and he said a double portion. Elisha didn’t say a raise or a vacation, and Elijah didn’t rebuke him for asking for the max.Neither will God rebuke bold Prayers.
Shoot for the moon if you miss you may hit a star!!
Scripture:
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
