If you can’t find five minutes, can you spare just two or three?
3/20– Can You Spare A Minute?
Two taxidermists stopped before a window in which an owl was on display. They immediately began to criticize the way it was mounted. Its eyes were not natural; its wings were not in proportion with its head; its feathers were not neatly arranged; and its feet could be improved. When they had finished with their criticism, the old owl turned his head…and winked at them.

3/19–Be grateful for every single person who was part of your story. The ones who hurt you, the ones who helped, you cause they all taught you
Story:
The man turned to the congregation and with tears in his eyes confessed he had been a “counterfeit” Christian. Everyone in that church knew he was a taxidermist. His job was making dead animals look alive. He compared his life to one of his stuffed animals—he looked spiritually alive, but he was dead on the inside.”
Scripture:
Mark 7:6
He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
Humor:
Do our actions have consequences? Does cause and effect really exist?
George W. Bush, was in an airport lobby, and noticed a man in a long flowing white robe with a long flowing white beard and flowing white hair. The man had a staff in one hand and some stone tablets under the other arm.
George W. approached the man and inquired, “Aren’t you Moses?”
The man ignored George W. and stared at the ceiling.
George W. positioned himself more directly in the man’s view and asked again,
“Aren’t you Moses?”
The man continued to stare at the ceiling.
George W. tugged at the man’s sleeve and asked once again, “Aren’t you Moses?”
The man finally responded in an irritated voice, “Yes, I am.”
George W. asked him why he was so irritable and the man replied, “The last time I spoke to a bush I had to spend 40 years in the desert!”
Illustration: There was a King that had two slaves. The King told the slaves that he
would paid them a years wage if they would take the all the water out of his
well and dump into a wicker basket.
The slaves agreed to do the work. The first slave took a bucket and
filled it with water and dumped it into the wicker basket. He did this two or
three times and relized that he was not accomplishing anything so he told the
other slave ” This is foolishness, we are not accomplishing anything, I am
leaving!”
The other slave tried to reason with the first slave saying
“The Master already paid us our wage, we have to do this!!!”
The first slave left anyway. The other slave picked up the bucket and
continued the work until the well was dry. When he finished he looked into the
basket and saw a basket full of diamonds. They were transparent to the eyes
while in the water.
When the master returned he praised the faithful slave and gave him the
basket of diamonds in addition to the wages he already had recieved.
In God’s organization some times we do not always realize what we
are doing or why we might be doing something but Jehovah never asks us to do anything that will harm us, and if we are a faithful servant of God’s, he will reward us with a treasure beyond imagination.

Excerpt from “Live First, Die Last” by J D Canter:
“I am reminded of the man who lost his luggage on a transcontinental flight. Upon arriving at his destination and discovering that his bags had not, this man made his way to the airline’s claim office, where he caused a scene. The employee recording his information “patiently endured the angry tirade until the passenger accused her of personal incompetence. “Sir,” she answered, “no one knows where your baggage is yet. At the moment, only two people in the whole world even care where it is—and one of us is rapidly losing interest!”
Scripture:
Revelation 2:7
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Humor:
The story is told of the fellow that called 911. He screamed, “You gotta send somebody to help me! My wife is lying on the floor and I don’t know what’s wrong with her.” The operator said, “Okay, settle down. What’s your address?” The man said, “613 Eucalyptus.”
She asked, “Sir, can you spell that for me?” There was a long pause and he finally said, “If I drag her over to Oak Street, can you pick her up there?”
Well, maybe not everyone is completely truthful.
Jesus spelled out the future for us and because of the empty tomb we can believe everything else that Jesus told us.
Jean Frederick Oberlin, a minister in 18th century Germany, was traveling by foot in winter when he was caught in a severe snowstorm.
He soon lost his way in the blowing snow and feared he would freeze to death. In despair he sat down, not knowing which way to turn. Just then, a man came along in a wagon and rescued Oberlin. He took him to the next village and made sure he would be cared for.
As the man prepared to journey on, Oberlin said, “Tell me your name so that I may at least have you in grateful remembrance before God.”
The man, who by now had recognized Oberlin, replied, “You are a minister. Please tell me the name of the Good Samaritan.” Oberlin said, “I cannot do that, for it is not given in the Scriptures.” His benefactor responded, “Until you can tell me his name, please permit me to withhold mine.”
