Believe In Yourself

Story:

Life is a pressure cooker. The pressure keeps mounting and building until you can’t take it anymore. You are ready to explode, blow up. Everywhere you turn there is pressure. The greater the pressure, the more things cook on the inside. There are pressures because there are more variables in your life. There are more people and more responsibilities. There are more people who need you than ever before.

There are more people who have your phone number, both home and cell, your email address, etc. Your world is bigger, you know more people.

External pressures you can separate from, but internal pressures are difficult …. your marriage, your children, etc. External enemies are one thing, but internal things are connected to me.

You can kill the wolf, if you don’t kill the wolf it will kill you. You can’t kill what you are connected to…. your marriage, your child, etc. The internal pressure keeps mounting and you try to say “I’m fine, I’m just fine”, but all the time you are dying on the inside. The pressure is killing you. You’d probably be shocked at the people reading this that are smiling, but on the inside, they are about to explode. The things you can’t talk about, the secrets that you have held inside for so long. All the while the pressure is building on the inside until it has reached the dangerous levels. When you are responsible people count on you, and when they count on you it brings on responsibility and pressure. We would also be surprised at the depressed people reading this.

The world has pressures and some of them kill themselves. Children of God have pressures and it kills them. We wake up tired because all night long the issues have been churning in our heads all night long. The things you can’t talk about, you can’t tell anybody. Nobody knows that your finances are bad, your marriage is strained. We have pressures and we can’t talk to anyone not even our spouses. We are too tore up, we think, to talk to God. But talking to God is the answer for me .

Scripture:

Matthew 6:28-33

And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Can You Spare A Minute 11/10?

If you can’t find two minutes, can you spare just one?

11/10– Can You Spare A Minute?

11/10–Someday Isle

Someday I’ll do this or that.

I wonder how many has been marooned and stuck on Someday I’ll?

Like Tom Hanks in the movie Castaway.

The cemetery is one of the richest places in the world. It has more riches that Fort Knox. Songs never sung, speeches never delivered, love never revealed, and talents never used.

I want to do, as the motivational speaker Les Brown encouraged, and to “Live Full And Die Empty”

I do not want to take anything with me I want to use it all. I don’t want to die never letting my friends and loved ones know how much I truly cared.

I want to be like a wet cloth that you take and wring very drop of water out until there is nothing else left inside!

Pick Up The Phone And Call Someone And Forgive

If you can’t find two minutes, can you spare just one?

As you are reading this I am sure some of you have strained relationships that need fixing and have needed fixing for such a long time. Fathers and Sons, Mothers and Daughters, good friends who haven’t spoken or have avoided each other for a long, long time.     Why don’t you just pick up the phone if they are not near you, or better still, Go and see them if possible.

If I could say something that would prick the heart and conscience of just one person reading this , I would feel like its existence would be well worth it!

Hasn’t your separation gone on long enough? Some of you have even forgotten what it was all about, and why it even happened.

I don’t know why you feel the way you do but I do know that it’s not worth it.

We should treat every living person as if they would be gone from this earth within the next twenty four hours.

The person that you have a strained relationship with may very well be gone within twenty four hours. In the cemetery there will be apologies never made and forgiveness never given.

You may not see the bars and no one else may not be able to see them but you’re in prison all the same. Oh I’m not saying that you don’t ever get out or ever get away from those bars. But like a caged animal you eventually come back to your cage.

I hate for something so small to make you a little person when you could’ve been something big. Don’t you hate for something to have such a hold on you that it wounded you and rendered you helpless.

Friend I know it looks like a mountain and looks so hopeless and helpless. I would love to see the handcuffs and shackles fall off you at this very moment and you be free.

Don’t tell me that you are getting accustomed to this and you are actually enjoying it. Don’t tell me that you have wallowed in this for so long that you are actually getting comfortable in wallowing?

When Moses went before the pharaoh and asked to let God’s people go, God sent plagues to the Egyptians.

One of the plagues was frogs. Pharaoh said that he would let the people go. Moses asked him when did he want the frogs to leave. Pharaoh told Moses tomorrow.

To me this is unbelievable and unacceptable to be willing to live with the frogs another day. I wouldn’t want the frogs in my bed and in my stove another night

.

When are you gonna forgive, tomorrow? You are willing to sleep with unforgiveness another night and wallow in stubbornness?

I can just almost hear your thoughts. You want to know if I am asking you to forgive when you know you are in the right. Yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing, because you can have the right away in an automobile and still be killed.

Oh, I’m doing all right you may be saying. Oh really, whether you know it or not you are dying by degrees.

Besides this you may be killing the other person as well. Why don’t you give the gift that keeps on giving, forgiveness!

You may be praying that they will come to you and start the process of forgiving. And they may be praying that you may come to them and start the process of forgiving.

You’d better hurry or you just want to let them beat you out in being the bigger person!

If I had acid in my hand that I was going to pour on you for something you had done, my hand would be eaten up before I could get it on you. That’s what’s going on in your heart it’s gonna kill you and eat you up before it gets to him or her.

How about laying your weapon of unforgiveness down and go to that person unarmed?

When you go seek to understand first and then be understood later! I just feel like someone is going to take me up on this. When your chains fall off of you would you please email me and tell me that you’re free at encourager98@yahoo.com? I would like to celebrate with you!!

Can You Spare a Minute 11/7?

If you can’t find two minutes, can you spare just one?

11/7–Well the thing for you and me to do is just be content in whatever state we are in!

Philippians 4: 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I live right on the state line so if I get discontent in one state is Paul saying that I can move to the other state and be happy. No friend, just be happy with where you are at with whatever you have!

Be content with what you have because, you may be like Esau and get what you wanted but lose what you have. Or, you may be like Judas and get the thirty pieces of silver but lose what you already have.

Your wife may have gained a hundred pounds since the wedding, but you had better be thankful for her. She keeps your clothes pressed and the kids and house clean. If she has a good meal on the table three times a day, you might better hold on to her!

Wives, your husband may have gained a hundred pounds and lost his hair. But if he makes you and your children a good living, loves and takes care of you and your kids, you’d better not let him go either. So many people have traded something good off to find out that it was much better than what they traded for.

If you have food on the table, a savings account, didn’t have to sleep in a car, you are so much better off than millions who don’t have those things. There are people overseas who would almost paddle a canoe to get to the United States and be where you are at. You had better be thankful! We have a life that some people only dream about. You had better hang on to your place and what you have got, there are people who would gladly trade with you.

11/7– Start Your Day Off Right Series

11/7–Quote:

11/7–A champion is defined not by the wins but by how they can recover when they fall

Story:

11/7–A member of a certain Church, who previously had been attending meetings regularly, stopped going.  After a few weeks, an elder decided to visit him.

It was a chilly evening.  The elder found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire.  Guessing the reason for the elder’s visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a big chair near the fireplace and waited.

The elder made himself comfortable but said nothing.  In the grave silence, he contemplated the play of the flames around the burning logs.

After some minutes, the elder took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone.

Then he sat back in his chair, still silent.  The host watched all this in quiet fascination.  As the one lone ember’s flame diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more.  Soon it was cold and “dead as a doornail.”

Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting.  Just before the elder was ready to leave, he picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the fire.

Immediately it began to glow once more with the light and warmth of the burning coals around it.  As the elder reached the door to leave, his host said,  “Thank you so much for your visit and especially for the fiery lesson.  I shall be back at the Church next Sunday.”

Learn The Fast That God Approves Of

I’m just a plow hand from Arkansas, but I have learned how to hold a team together. How to lift some men up, how to calm down others, until finally they’ve got one heartbeat together, a team.

There’s just three things I’d ever say: If anything goes bad, I did it. If anything goes semi-good, then we did it. If anything goes real good, then you did it. That’s all it takes to get people to win football games for you.

Bear Bryant.

There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go, if he doesn’t care who gets the credit.

Start Your Day Off Right Series 11/6

Here is some food for your Daily Bread!

11/6–Start Your Day Off Right series

Quote:

Quote:

11/6– Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes Oscar Wilde

Story:

11/6–Discouragement Epidemic—Have you ever gotten sick from a virus?

Discouragement  today is of an epidemic proportions! You can give it to others, and watch out, lest you catch it too.  You don’t have to seek discouragement, it will seek you out.

But, if it is encouragement you are after, encouragement has to be sought after, hungered for.  It is elusive to the “wanna be” people who aren’t serious. It is well worth every effort to the few, faithful who have the determination.

Some caught this disease in their childhood, when someone hinted they may be inferior in some way.  They, more than likely, passed it on (unintentionally) to someone else. And the madness goes on and on, from generation to generation.  The people who were abused as a child wind up being abusers as adults.  Children of alcoholics too often become alcoholics themselves.

Excuses– Another thing that is passed down and around.  It is also an epidemic. The road to failure is paved with excuses and good intentions. The world needs less excuses, complainining and explaining.

Explaining in too much detail is not necessary, brevity is so much more desirable.  If you are sick with an ailment, it is ok to say you are sick, but do you have to recount every time you coughed, sneezed, scratched, etc?  Whining is close kin to compaining and excuses. There ought be a rule that the complainer must pay a fine–say $5 or so per whine. Laugh and the whole world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone.

Your Destiny–don’t let anyone speak to and define your destiny….you are in charge of that.  You are special and you are a worthy person. God didn’t make  junk, therefore you must be special and specially designed.  There is not , and will never be, anyone else like you.  Anything that is rare always has a great value (like antiques).  If there was only one of an object that was made, it doesn’t matter what the object was, it would be priceless. The chances of you ever being upon this earth was remote, that it had to be God who wanted it to be thus.
