Here is some food for your Daily Bread!

–I miss and think of my dad every day, that is some thing that won’t ever go away. Growing up my dad was always there for us. He was a hard worker and did whatever he could do to support his family financially.

As we grew older my mom and dad started to grow apart and separated I was around 18 at the time. I think I was around 21 at the time when my dad had left to Mexico because his mother had passed away.

He left and didn’t come back until June of this year. 8 whole years had passed not a word from him or not being able to see him. A lot has happen in my life, I got married and had 2 kids. He wasn’t there. With all my heart I Forgive him.

With his return back I soon found out he had colon cancer and only had 1 month to lived. I didn’t want to waste my time on negative feelings.

Everyday I spent I told him I loved him and just to be able to hug and kiss him one last time is all that I could ever ask for. I forgive you Dad.

Things Things To Do To Reach The Next Level

How To Get To The Next Level

Here are three things that just about anyone can do if they are looking to develop a new skill, improve on an existent talent, or compete and perform at a higher level.

1. Seek Out Challenges. The kind of growth and development you want exists only in that area just beyond your comfort zone. It is not so far out there that you’ll never succeed but close enough to the edge of what you know is possible to ignite your creativity in interest. You must take a chance and possibly fail so you can learn something , pick yourself up and try again.

2. Practice with intention. It doesn’t matter how long you practice something if you’re not 100% present and focused on what you are doing . This means limiting distractions, phone, music, food, guests—that shift your attention away from the task at hand.

3. Manage your time according to research world class violinists practice in chunks of time that lasts from 60 to 90 minutes. The same is true for many elite athletes. After 90 minutes of deliberate practice where one

is focused entirely on their own craft or sport, the mind will eventually begin to wander and the body will succumb to fatigue. Depending on what you are engaged in, a rest from six minutes to half an hour would be enough to recharge most people.

Dr. Geezer

An old geezer became very bored in retirement and decided to open a medical clinic.

He put a sign up outside that said: “Dr.Geezer’s clinic. Get your treatment for $500, if not cured, get back $1,000.”

Doctor “Young,” who was positive that this old geezer didn’t know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000. So he went to Dr. Geezer’s clinic.

Dr. Young: “Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me ??”

Dr. Geezer: “Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young’s mouth.”

Dr. Young: Aaagh !! — “This is Gasoline!”

Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You’ve got your taste back. That will be $500.”

Dr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.

Dr. Young: “I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything.”

Dr. Geezer: “Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient’s mouth.”

Dr. Young: “Oh, no you don’t, — that is Gasoline!”

Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You’ve got your memory back. That will be $500.”

Dr. Young (after having lost $1000) leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.

Dr. Young: “My eyesight has become weak – I can hardly see anything!!!!

Dr. Geezer: “Well, I don’t have any medicine for that so, here’s your $1000 back.” (giving him a $10 bill)

Dr. Young: “But this is only $10!

Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500.”

Moral of story — Just because you’re “Young” doesn’t mean that you can outsmart an “old Geezer!”

Remember: Don’t make old people mad. We don’t like being old in the first place, so it doesn’t take much to piss us off.l

Think Offense Rather Than Defense

Play offense rather than defense!

Philippians 4:8-9

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Quote:

2/26–Sometimes when you’re in a dark place you think you have been buried, but actually you’ve been planted.

Story:

2/26-Death Is Not Necessarily Loss

A little girl whose baby brother had just died asked her mother where Baby had gone. “To be with Jesus,” replied the mother.

A few days later, talking to a friend, the mother said, “I am so grieved to have lost my baby.”

The little girl heard her, and remembering what her mother had told her, looked up into her face and asked, “Mother, is a thing lost when you know where it is?” “No, of course not.” “Well, then how can Baby be lost when he has gone to be with Jesus?” Her mother never forgot this. It was the truth.

Scripture:

2 Samuel 12:18-23

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead? But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread. And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live? But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

Humor:

2/26–Our daughter was working as a telemarketer for a home-security firm. Once while she was reciting all the benefits of the system to a potential customer, he interrupted her and said, “We don’t need it because we have a big dog.” “That’s great,” my daughter replied. “But can he dial 911?”

Beware Of Anger, It Is Deadly

A national park ranger in British Columbia has two sets of huge antlers, as wide as a man’s reach locked together.

Evidently 2 deer began fighting, their antlers locked, and they could not get free. They died due to anger.
