Be Trustworthy, It Is Not That Common

“A trustworthy person will get a rich reward.” — Bible 28:20

Trustworthiness is one of the greatest qualities a person can possess. Talent may open doors, personality may win friends, but trustworthiness keeps relationships strong and gives a person lasting influence.

A trustworthy person does what they say they will do. Their word means something. They don’t have to make big promises or boast about their integrity—people simply know they can be counted on.

Trust is built in the little things:

  • Keeping your promises
  • Telling the truth
  • Being dependable
  • Guarding confidences
  • Doing right when no one is watching

Character is not proven in grand moments but in everyday faithfulness.

Abraham Lincoln was called “Honest Abe” because people knew they could trust him. What a legacy—to be known for honesty.

In a world where promises are often broken, be a person whose handshake still means something. Be someone others can lean on.

Jesus taught that “he who is faithful in little will be faithful in much.” Bible 16:10
If we are faithful in small responsibilities, God can trust us with greater ones.

Trustworthiness is not perfection—it’s consistency.

When people can trust you:

  • Families grow stronger
  • Friendships deepen
  • Communities flourish
  • Your witness shines brighter

Ask yourself today:

  • Can people depend on my word?
  • Am I faithful in little things?
  • Do I handle others’ trust with care?

Make it your goal to be the kind of person others never have to second-guess.

A Thought to Carry Today

“Your reputation is built by what you do when no one is looking.”

Prayer

Lord, help me be a trustworthy person—faithful in my words, honest in my dealings, and dependable in my commitments. Let my life reflect integrity and bring honor to You. Amen.

Be trustworthy. Be faithful. Be the person others can count on.
