Always Finish What You Start

Scripture: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Starting something is exciting, but finishing it is what truly reveals our character. Many people begin with enthusiasm, yet only a few remain faithful when the journey becomes difficult. God honors those who persevere.

Every worthwhile goal will face obstacles. There will be days when you feel tired, discouraged, or tempted to quit. In those moments, remember why you started and, more importantly, remember who is walking with you. God never asks us to finish life’s race in our own strength. He promises to provide the grace we need for each step.

Jesus is the greatest example of perseverance. He never abandoned His mission, even when it led Him to the cross. Because He finished the work His Father gave Him to do, we have the hope of salvation today.

Perhaps you’ve been working toward restoring a relationship, growing in your faith, serving in your church, or reaching a personal goal. Don’t let temporary setbacks convince you to give up. Progress may seem slow, but God is working even when you cannot see it.

Stay faithful. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep believing. The harvest comes to those who refuse to quit.

Today, make the decision that you will not allow discouragement to have the final word. Let faith, determination, and trust in God carry you across the finish line.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me strength when I grow weary. Help me to remain faithful to the work You have called me to do. Give me perseverance to finish well and a heart that never gives up on Your promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
