5/8–When you find an idea that you just can’t stop thinking about that’s probably a good one to pursue!
Story:
5/8–A man told the story about the man that dreaded a certain dog that would bark at him every day. It was a big dog but one day he grabbed the brick and when the dog came close just before he threw the brick he could see inside the dogs mouth and the dog didn’t have any teeth.
And many of us spend our lives running from things that don’t even have any teeth!!! Can’t do us any harm.

Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD;
A missionary society wrote to David Livingstone and asked, “Have you found a good road to where you are? If so, we want to know how to send other men to join you.” Livingstone wrote back, “If you have men who will come only if they know there is a good road, I don’t want them. I want men who will come if there is no road at all.”

Mark 2:2 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. 3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
I want some of those “tear of the roof” guys on my team too!

5/7–Eliminate physical clutter but more importantly eliminate spiritual clutter!
Story:
5/7–5 THE EAGLE TESTS BEFORE IT TRUSTS The Eagle tests before it trusts. When a female eagle meets a male and they want to mate, she flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig. She flies back into the air with the male pursuing her. Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls. The male chases after the twig. The faster it falls, the faster he chases it. He has to catch it before it falls to the ground. He then brings it back to the female eagle. The female eagle grabs the twig and flies to a higher altitude and then drops the twig for the male to chase. This goes on for hours, with the height increasing until the female eagle is assured that the male eagle has mastered the art of catching the twig which shows commitment. Then and only then, will she allow him to mate with her. Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for partnership.

5/7–“A little girl asks her mother, “How did the human race appear?” The mother answers, “Well, God made Adam and Eve and then they had kids. So all mankind was made.” Two days later the little girl asks her father the exact same question. The father answers, “Many years ago, there were monkeys from which the entire human race evolved.” The confused little girl returns to her mother”

“and says, “Mom, you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said man developed from monkeys. Why do you have different stories?” The mother answers, “Well, I was referring to my side of the family and your dad was talking about his side.””

If you can’t find five minutes, can you spare two or three?
The Two Wolves—I remember, as a child, seeing on cartoons an angel on one shoulder and a devil sitting on the other. They pull in different directions. The devil made me do it was Flip Wison’s line. I heard about the old Indian whose son was becoming a man. The older Indian told the son that there were two wolves within,a good wolfe and a bad wolfe, both trying to gain the lead in his life. Which one will win, the son wanted to know? The father told him it would be the one he fed. Which thoughts will you feed, the good or the bad? Will you side with the positive thoughts or the negative ones? It is up to you, and you alone.
5/7–What to do when something or someone tries to bury you—-I heard the story about a man who had an old mule that he really loved. One day the man couldn’t find the old mule and he began to panic. He checked the fence to see if got out, but everything looked good. Then he remembered the big, deep hole he had had dug just a few days earlier. He ran as fast as he could to the hole, and sure enough his fears were confirmed. The old mule looked up at him from the bottom of the hole. The only thing he knew that was left to do, was to just put him out of his misery. So he go a shovel and began to throw the dirt down on top of the mule. When he went to get the second shovel full he was amazed. The old mule just shook off the dirt and packed it down with his feet. He quickly started shoveling as fast as he could. Each time the mule shook the dirt off and packed it down, until before long the old mule was at the top and just walked on out. So when someone digs a hole and puts you in it, and tries to bury you with dirt….just shake it off, pack it down, and walk on out.
Smile and whisper—The next time somone wants to argue with you try this technique. It is very hard to argue with someone when they are smiling and whispering. Try it sometime!
Why me Lord?— This was the title to a popular song a few years ago. Unfortunately most people are using it ask why me, meaning the bad. Why am I the one to have trouble, bad breaks, etc. I ask instead why was I the one to receive so many good things. Bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people. Just because some bad things happen to me, doesn’t mean at all that I am a bad person.
Many great people have asked why before. Even Jesus in the garden said why has Thou forsaken Me. But God has all the why answers!!

Practice–Allen Iverson had a lot to say about the subject of practice. After the basketball game, he went off on a reporter who asked him about his practice effort. I know what Iverson was trying to say, that it is the game, after all, which matters most. I have seen people at the work place who did not come to work good. Then, after they were there, they just tried to make do with the minimum effort. They were just marking time, just getting by. But, just as sure as promotions were given out, they couldn’t figure how why they were not chosen.

5/6–4.EAGLES LOVE THE STORM Eagles love the storm. When clouds gather, the eagles get excited. The eagle uses the storm’s wind to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagles uses the raging storm to lift him above the Clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide and rest its wings. In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees. We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights. Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.

5/6–Can You Spare A Minute?
If an airline disclosed that a certain pilot was terrible at takeoffs and landings, but was reasonably proficient once the plane was airborne, how many of you would rush to buy a ticket for that flight? Would you change your mind if they offered you a deep discount?”
I read this somewhere and it’s true. How many before getting on a plane asked to see the pilots credentials? Never saw him before but trust him with your life! We trust not only pilots but surgeonsand many other people, yet we struggle with trusting God!!
