2/26– Can You Spare A Minute?
2/26–Open you mouth when what you are going to say is more beautiful than silence
It’s easy to laugh at someone.
It’s easy to point out flaws.
It’s easy to make fun of others.
But it takes strength… to build people up.
We live in a world where sarcasm gets applause and cruelty sometimes gets clicks. A cutting joke can get attention fast. But the damage it leaves behind? That can last much longer than the laugh.
💔 You Never Know What Someone Is Carrying
The person you’re teasing about their weight may be fighting a private battle.
The person you’re mocking for a mistake may have already replayed it a hundred times in their mind.
The person you’re joking about may be hanging on by a thread.
We rarely see the full story.
And sometimes what we call “just joking” can be someone else’s breaking point.
📖 Scripture Reminder
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
— Ephesians 4:29
That word edifying means to build up.
Not tear down.
Not embarrass.
Not humiliate.
Build up.
🌱 Strong People Don’t Need to Diminish Others
Making fun of others often comes from one of two places:
Insecurity A desire for attention
When we feel unsure of ourselves, it can be tempting to shrink someone else to make us feel bigger.
But real confidence doesn’t work that way.
Confident people lift.
Insecure people poke.
Which one do you want to be?
🤝 Imagine This
Imagine if every conversation you had today left someone feeling stronger.
Imagine if your words gave someone courage instead of doubt.
Imagine if someone went home tonight thinking, “I’m glad I talked to him today.”
That’s influence.
That’s leadership.
That’s Christ-like character.
🙏 Today’s Challenge
Before you say something about someone — especially something humorous — ask yourself:
Is it kind? Is it necessary? Would I say it if they weren’t in the room? Would I want it said about me?
If it doesn’t pass the test… let it go.
You don’t have to join in when others are making fun of someone. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is stay silent — or even change the subject.
Better yet, speak something good.
Because words are seeds.
And whatever you plant today… will grow tomorrow.
Have a blessed February 26.
Be the one who builds.
Be the one who encourages.
Be the one who leaves people better than you found them.

It’s up to you!
Is 40:28-31. Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard,
that the everlasting God, the LORD,
the Creator of the ends of the earth,
fainteth not, neither is weary?
there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

Dr. Geezer
An old geezer became very bored in retirement and decided to open a medical clinic.
He put a sign up outside that said: “Dr.Geezer’s clinic. Get your treatment for $500, if not cured, get back $1,000.”
Doctor “Young,” who was positive that this old geezer didn’t know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000. So he went to Dr. Geezer’s clinic.
Dr. Young: “Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth. Can you please help me ??”
Dr. Geezer: “Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young’s mouth.”
Dr. Young: Aaagh !! — “This is Gasoline!”
Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You’ve got your taste back. That will be $500.”
Dr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.
Dr. Young: “I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything.”
Dr. Geezer: “Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient’s mouth.”
Dr. Young: “Oh, no you don’t, — that is Gasoline!”
Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You’ve got your memory back. That will be $500.”
Dr. Young (after having lost $1000) leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.
Dr. Young: “My eyesight has become weak – I can hardly see anything!!!!
Dr. Geezer: “Well, I don’t have any medicine for that so, here’s your $1000 back.” (giving him a $10 bill)
Dr. Young: “But this is only $10!
Dr. Geezer: “Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500.”
Moral of story — Just because you’re “Young” doesn’t mean that you can outsmart an “old Geezer!”
Remember: Don’t make old people mad. We don’t like being old in the first place, so it doesn’t take much to piss us off.l

2/25– Can You Spare A Minute?
2/25–You will never know how strong you are until you have to forgive l who isn’t sorry
There’s nothing wrong with doing well.
There’s nothing wrong with succeeding.
There’s nothing wrong with being blessed.
But there is something wrong when we start bragging about it.
Bragging has a way of turning a blessing into a burden. It shifts the focus from gratitude to pride — and pride has a way of quietly pushing people away.
🌱 Quiet Strength Speaks Loudest
The strongest people in the room usually aren’t the loudest.
You’ve probably noticed that in life. The most accomplished individuals often don’t feel the need to announce their achievements. Their work speaks for itself. Their attitude speaks for them. Their humility opens doors that arrogance would slam shut.
When we brag, we try to elevate ourselves.
When we stay humble, God elevates us.
📖 Scripture Reminder
“Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.”
— Proverbs 27:2
That’s wisdom that never gets old.
It’s not saying you can’t be proud of your hard work. It’s saying you don’t need to advertise it. Let others notice. Let others celebrate you. Let your life be the testimony.
💡 Why We Brag
Sometimes bragging isn’t about pride — it’s about insecurity.
We want validation.
We want recognition.
We want someone to notice.
But real confidence doesn’t need applause.
When you know who you are — and whose you are — you don’t have to prove anything.
🌤 A Better Way
Instead of bragging about:
What you bought What you earned Who you know What you accomplished
Try this instead:
Thank God for it. Encourage someone else. Use your success to lift others up.
There’s something powerful about the person who achieves greatly but carries it lightly.
🤝 A Little Perspective
Imagine two people:
One constantly reminding everyone how successful they are.
The other quietly helping others climb.
Who would you rather be around?
Exactly.
🙏 Today’s Challenge
Today, let your actions speak louder than your words.
If you’ve been blessed — be grateful.
If you’ve succeeded — stay grounded.
If you’ve achieved — stay kind.
Because at the end of the day, people may forget what you accomplished…
But they will never forget how you made them feel.
Have a blessed February 25.
Walk humbly. Shine brightly. Let others do the talking.
