Bottled water, a concept I thought was utterly ridiculous when I first heard about. Never happen, I thought. Why should I buy something coming out at my sink freely? But it did happen, and is happening. I buy it and people all over the world do.

Has satan ever presented a thought to you and you thought, never happen….but it did. People have married and never thought trouble would come to their home, but satan worked his way in.He can even take the ridiculous and make it seem like that’s the way it is supposed to be.

Churches split when harmony and unity flowed like nothing could ever stop it. Satan is pictured in red suit, with horns, and a tail and a pitchfork. No, my friend, he is the slickest, smothest salesman of all time!

The Old Lady And Her Three Hairs Left

A very old lady looked in the mirror one morning. She had three remaining hairs on her head, and being a positive soul, she said, “I think I’ll braid my hair today.” So she braided her three hairs, and she had a great day.

Some days later, looking in the mirror one morning, preparing for her day, she saw that she had only two hairs remaining. “Hmm, two hairs… I fancy a centre parting today.” She duly parted her two hairs, and as ever, she had a great day

A week or so later, she saw that she had just one hair left on her head. “One hair huh…,” she mused, “I know, a pony-tail will be perfect.” And again she had a great day.

The next morning she looked in the mirror. She was completely bald.

Finally bald huh,” she said to herself, “How wonderful! I won’t have to waste time doing my hair any more..”

The Speaker And The Twenty Dollar Bill

A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a $20 bill. A crowd of 200 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, ‘Who would like this $20 bill?’200 hands went up.

He said, ‘I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.’ He crumpled the bill up.

He then asked, ‘Who still wants it?’

All 200 hands were still raised.

Well,’ he replied, ‘What if I do this?’ Then he dropped the bill on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes.

He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The bill was all crumpled and dirty. Now who still wants it?’

All the hands still went up.

My friends, I have just showed you a very important lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt. We make bad decisions or deal with poor circumstances. We feel worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it!’

If you can’t find two minutes, can you spare just one?

–I have heard the remarks insinuating that if you praise people you will ruin them and give them the big head. How true this is if we’re talking about one out of ten people. But, is not the other nine more valuable than just the one? Because in the other nine of them they will be greatly helped in my opinion.

Nagging doesn’t help wives change husbands. My mother used to make a big deal when I did something right that she was my cheering section. A man gets married and mother’s not there to clap and cheer and he winds up in confusion.

The Bible speaks about speaking the truth in love. I have found that whatever you say and put no love with it winds up having no effect. Love can run around the block six times or more before criticism can get its shoes on.

Be CareFul Where You Step, Others May Follow You

–A mother from Costa Mesa, California told about the day her little three-year old son was on her heels wherever she went. She was having trouble doing her routine chores.

She said, “Whenever I stopped to do something and turned back around I would trip over him. Several times I suggested fun activities to keep him occupied, but he would just smile and say, ‘That’s alright Mommie, I’d rather be in here with you.’ He continued to follow me and after the fifth trip my patience wore thin and I asked him why he was following me constantly.”

He said, “My Sunday school teacher told me to walk in Jesus’ footsteps but I can’t see Him so I’m walking in yours.”

When your son or daughter sees how God is meeting the needs in your life he or she can then follow in your footsteps and invite God to meet the needs in his or her life as well.

5/9–Bette Nesmith had a good secretarial job in a Dallas bank when she ran across a problem that interested her. Wasn’t there a better way to correct the errors she made on her electric typewriter? Bette had some art experience and she knew that artists who worked in oils just painted over their errors. Maybe that would work for her too. So she concocted a fluid to paint over her typing errors. Before long, all the secretaries in her building were using what she then called “MistakeOut”. 5/8–A man told the story about the man that dreaded a certain dog that would bark at him every day. It was a big dog but one day he grabbed the brick and when the dog came close just before he threw the brick he could see inside the dogs mouth and the dog didn’t have any teeth.

And many of us spend our lives running from things that don’t even have any teeth!!! Can’t do us any harm.
