Transform Your Thoughts And You Will Transform Your Life

Romans 12:1,2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

11/13–Anger Can Kill

Story:

11/13–80% of the people don’t care if you have a problem, and the other 20% are right tickled about it.

There are 10 commandments, number 11 should be Thou shall not bellyache. 1 Corinthians 10: 10. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Complaints should be at least $ 5 each. I believe a lot of people that complain do so to get attention. That is the wrong way to get attention and the wrong kind of attention. That will get your attention but it won’t be for the right reasons. People won’t think anymore of you… In fact, they will think less…. a lot less!!!

Some people no matter. what you do you couldn’t do everything right so you have to overlook and ignore those people.

A monk joined a monastery and took a vow of silence. After the first 10 years, his superior called him in and gave him an opportunity to speak two words, “Do you have anything to say?” The monk replied, “Food bad.” After another 10 years, the monk again had opportunity to voice his thoughts. He said, “Bed hard.” Another 10 years went by and again he was called in before his superior. When asked if he had anything to say, he responded, “I quit.” His superior said, It doesn’t surprise me a bit. You’ve done nothing but complain ever since you got here.”

A successful person is one that can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at them!

The Little Boy And The World

A man was babysitting his little boy and he needed to do something so he got a newspaper with the picture of the world on it and tore the newspaper into little pieces and told the little boy to put the world back together. In just a little bit the little boy told his father he was through.

The man couldn’t believe it. He asked him how did you do it so quickly? The little boy said on the other side of the world was a picture of a man.. I put the man together and the world came together too!!

When my Grandson was a little boy he would often ask his Mother “Mama, did you know”, and then finish his sentence with his answer. That particular day his mother, my daughter, seemed to be worried and he asked her “Mama did you know”?

He told her that God had the whole world in His hand! That simple phrase from a child lifted her heart and mind to the level it needed to be at.

You can learn a lot from a child if you will just pay attention!

The Great Importance of Helping Others

Quote:

“We rise by lifting others.” — Robert Ingersoll

Message:

Every act of kindness—no matter how small—creates a ripple that travels far beyond what we can see. Helping others isn’t just about giving money, time, or effort; it’s about sharing hope, encouragement, and love in a world that desperately needs it.

When we reach out to help someone else, something incredible happens inside of us. Our focus shifts from our problems to purpose, from frustration to fulfillment. Life becomes richer when we stop asking, “What’s in it for me?” and start asking, “How can I serve someone today?”

Helping others doesn’t always mean grand gestures. It can be a smile to a stranger, a kind word to someone discouraged, or lending a hand when someone’s struggling. The secret is in the heart behind the help. A small act done with great love can change someone’s entire day—and sometimes their entire life.

When we live to lift others, we find that we, too, are lifted.

Scripture:

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” — Philippians 2:4 (ESV)

Reflection:

Today, look for someone who needs encouragement—a text, a prayer, a kind word. You may never know how much it means to them, but heaven does.

Clean Humor:

Why did the scarecrow win an award?

Because he was outstanding in his field… helping everyone else grow! 🌾😄

Closing Thought:

When we help others, we’re not just making their lives better—we’re becoming the kind of people God designed us to be. Be the reason someone smiles today!

Take Responsibility Don’t Say It Wasn’t Me

Genesis 3:6-14And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

On seeing a traveller they agreed a suitable test would be to strip him of his cloak.

First the wind blew with all his might, but the more he blew, the more than man wrapped the cloak tightly around himself.

When the sun’s turn came, he gently beamed at the man, who loosened the cloak. The sun shone brighter still, and the man threw off his cloak.

If You Need Mercy, Give It First

Quote:

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” — Matthew 5:7

Message:

Mercy is one of the purest reflections of the heart of God. To be merciful means to show kindness even when someone doesn’t deserve it, to forgive when it’s easier to hold a grudge, and to lift someone up instead of pointing out their faults. Mercy doesn’t mean you ignore truth or pretend wrong never happened—it means you choose compassion over condemnation.

When we show mercy, we release others from the debt of their mistakes—and in doing so, we set ourselves free, too. Every time you give mercy, you plant a seed that will one day grow back toward you in your own time of need.

Think about how many times God has shown mercy to you. He didn’t have to—but He did. And that same mercy He extended is the one He wants you to pass on.

Today, let mercy guide your words, your reactions, and your thoughts. Be quick to forgive, slow to anger, and generous with grace. You never know how one act of mercy could change someone’s life—or your own.

Scripture:

“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.” — Luke 6:36

A Little Humor:

A man prayed, “Lord, give me patience—and I want it right now!”

Sometimes showing mercy feels the same way—we want to be kind, but we need help doing it!

Takeaway:

Mercy isn’t weakness—it’s strength wrapped in kindness. When you show mercy, you mirror the heart of God to a world that desperately needs to see it.

Can You Spare A Minute Or So 11/11?

11/11- Can You Spare A Minute?

What to do when something or  someone tries to buru—-I heard the story about a man who had an old mule that he really loved. One day the man couldn’t find the old mule and he began to panic. He checked the fence to see if got out, but everything looked good.  Then he remembered the big, deep hole he had had dug just a few days earlier.  He ran as fast as he could to the hole, and sure enough his fears were confirmed.  The old mule looked up at him from the bottom of the hole. The only thing he knew that was left to do, was to just put him out of his misery.  So he go a shovel and began to throw the dirt down on top of the mule.  When he went to get the second shovel full he was amazed.  The old mule just shook off the dirt and packed it down with his feet.  He quickly started shoveling as fast as he could. Each time the mule shook the dirt off and packed it down, until before long the old mule was at the top and just walked on out. So when someone digs a hole and puts you in it, and tries to bury you with dirt….just shake it off, pack it down, and walk on out.

Happy Veterans Day

Quote:

Character

Story:

11/11–There was a man standing on a hill looking down on a man in the valley. The man on the hill said to himself I am here and the man in the valley is there. I don’t want to be here, I want to be there. I will just go join the man in the valley and then I can be there too!

So the man on the hill hastened to join the man in the valley, for he had always longed to be there. When he finally got to the man in the valley he was so happy he exclaimed to the man I am finally there.

The man in the valley said no my son you are here. The man on the hill said please tell me where there is so I can finally be there. The man in the valley said you see that hill you just came from? Well that is there and you are here.

So, when you long to get there in life, life will let you know you haven’t arrived.

When I get $1 million dollars, get married, get my drivers license, you think, I will finally be there. You get married and then feel like it will take a child before you are finally there. Then you think when I get this child raised and through school….. well, you get my point!

We seem to never be there because we are always here!!
