2/13– Can You Spare A Minute?
2/13–Life has a way of turning a No into a yes for those who are relentless
A landscape artist does not always stand at an arm’s length from his canvas. He must not limit his attention to the isolated details of what he is doing. Occasionally he steps back to view his work from a distance. He needs to see how his thousands of small brushstrokes fit together to produce an overall result.
Likewise, our perspective on life is much improved if sometime we can step back and see it whole. We can become so occupied with its daily brushstrokes that we have no real perception of the whole scene we are painting on the canvas of the ongoing years. Our attentions can be so consumed by the requirements of daily living that we have little awareness of the dimensions and directions of life itself.
Step back from the canvas a little, and try to see the picture whole. Look beyond the varied episodes of our daily doings and see the glory of it all. Look beyond the brushstrokes to see the art which the brushstrokes have made-and are making. “But we all… beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2Co 3:18).

Roman’s 13:11-14 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Quote:
2/12– it takes but one positive thought When given a chance to survive and thrive and over power an entire army of negative thoughts!
Story:
Scripture:
1 Corinthians 12:28
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Humor:
After church on Sundays, the priest always sees parishioners in private. This Sunday, Mary came to him in tears.
“What happened?” asked the priest?
“Oh father, last evening my husband died.”
“That’s terrible! Did your husband have any last wishes?”
“Yes he did.”
“What did he say?”
“I beg of you, Mary. Put down the gun!”
Can You Spare A Minute Or So 2/12?
2/12–If you don’t need this today, just put it in your back pocket
There is something powerful about helping someone else. In a world that often focuses on “me first,” choosing to lift someone else up is one of the greatest ways to live with purpose and joy.
Helping others doesn’t always mean doing something big or dramatic. Sometimes it’s as simple as a smile, an encouraging word, holding a door, making a phone call, or just listening when someone needs to talk. Small acts of kindness can create ripples that travel farther than we will ever know.
One of the beautiful truths about helping others is that it changes us too. When we help someone who is struggling, it reminds us of how blessed we are. It keeps our hearts soft, our minds grateful, and our perspective grounded. When we focus on serving instead of worrying, fear loses its grip and purpose takes its place.
Scripture reminds us in Galatians 6:2:
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Think about that for a moment. Every person you meet is carrying something. Some burdens are visible. Many are not. When you choose kindness, patience, and compassion, you may be answering a prayer you never even heard.
Helping others also builds legacy. Long after money is spent and titles are forgotten, people remember how you made them feel. They remember the time you showed up when no one else did. They remember the encouragement that kept them going when they wanted to quit.
You never know who is watching your example — your children, your friends, your coworkers, or even a stranger you may never meet again. Kindness is contagious. When you help one person, you inspire another.
Today, look for opportunities to help:
• Send a text to check on someone
• Offer to pray for someone going through a hard time
• Give a compliment that is sincere and specific
• Help someone without expecting recognition
• Be patient with someone who is struggling
Helping others is not a distraction from your purpose — it is your purpose.
And here is the beautiful part: what you give away in kindness, you receive back in peace, joy, and fulfillment.
Closing Thought:
If you want to make a difference in the world, start with the person right in front of you.
Simple Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes today to see who needs help. Give me a willing heart, kind words, and hands ready to serve. Help me be a light to someone who feels like they are walking in darkness. Amen.
Go make someone’s day better today. You might be the miracle they’ve been waiting for.

The thing of happy wife, happy life is true!
1 Samuel 1:8. Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

When boasting ends, there dignity begins.

Scripture:
Proverbs 6:16-17
These six things doth the LORD hate:

A proud look, a lying tongue,

Humor:
He told his assistant that he wasn’t feeling well. He drove to a golf course in another city, so nobody would know him.
He teed off on the first hole. A huge gust of wind caught his ball, carried is an extra hundred yards and dropped it right in the hole, for a 450 yard hole in one.
An angel looked at God and said “What’d you do that for?” God smiled and said “Who’s he going to tell?”

If you can’t find five minutes, can you spare one or two?
2/11–Can You Spare A Minute ?
2/11–If you are happy, notify your face
A smile is one of the simplest ways to change your day—and someone else’s.
Reflection:
A smile costs nothing, takes only a second, and yet it can:
Lift a heavy heart Open doors in relationships Change the atmosphere in a room Remind people they matter
You never know who is fighting a battle you can’t see. Your smile might be the encouragement they needed to keep going.
Scripture Idea (if you want to include faith content):
👉 “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart.” — Proverbs 15:30
