Can You Spare A Minute Or So 2/16?

https://youtube.com/shorts/PALrcPciGTY?si=fKGdqYFKiv0j3g0v

If you can’t find five minutes, can you spare one or two?

A King stood high above his subjects on a balcony. I need a kidney and I wonder if any of you below would be willing to give me one of yours? I know it is asking a lot and would be a great sacrifice! A loud cry went up from the majority crying loudly let it be me, please let it be me!!

The King turned to his main aide and asked how can I choose among them since so many want to volunteer? There was a feather near his feet and he got an idea! He told his subjects I know what I’ll do, I’ll drop this feather and whoever it lands on will get the honor of donating me a kidney.

As the feather came slowly descending a swooshing sound could be heard as the subjects started blowing the feather. This is the way of a lot of people that tell God let me, let me God. But when God says ok go ahead they start trying to shift the load off them and onto someone else! They start to blow the feather away from themselves.

Don’t Ever Give Up, Be Unstoppable

During the gold rush, a man who had been mining in Colorado for several months quit his job, as he hadn’t struck gold yet and the work was becoming tiresome.  He sold his equipment to another man who resumed mining where it had been left off. The new miner was advised by his engineer that there was gold only three feet away from where the first miner stopped digging.

The engineer was right, which means the first miner was a mere three feet away from striking gold before he quit.

The Moral:

When things start to get hard, try to persevere through the adversity. Many people give up on following their dreams because the work becomes too difficult, tedious, or tiresome–but often, you’re closer to the finish line than you may think, and if you push just a little harder, you will succeed.

Story:

Once there were three trees standing on the hillside. There was a oak tree on one side and a pine tree on the other side and then in the middle was a little cedar tree.       One day a mighty storm came through and blew  and the mighty oak tree slid down the hill. The wind kept blowing and in a little while  the pine tree slid down the hill. But when the wind finally stopped blowing, the cedar tree was left standing. The people of that area began to wonder how it was that the cedar tree survived.      They got a their shovels and started digging down and they dug and dug ….down until they saw why the cedar stood while bigger and mightier trees slid down the hill. Its roots has wrapped themselves  around a big huge rock under the ground. So when the winds of the storms and the spiritual storms blow  if you wrap your roots around the Spiritual Rock which is Christ Jesus, you can stand even the mightiest of storms!!

I heard of story of a  man  that was so inflexible that he wouldn’t bend for anything or anybody. He was in a boat with another person who fell out of the boat. He could’ve easily reached down and got a hold of that person but it would require him to bend. So for the sake of his image he let the other person perish!

Scripture:

Ephesians 3:14-20

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

God Is Love And Wants us To Be Someone Who Has Love

February 14 is often known as a day about love—cards, flowers, candy, and special dinners. But today is also a powerful reminder of something much deeper and eternal: God is love.

The Bible tells us plainly in 1 John 4:8, “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” Notice it doesn’t say God has love or God shows love. It says God is love. Love is not just something God does—it is who He is at His very core.

Think about that for a moment.

The love that created the universe…

The love that formed you with purpose…

The love that sent Jesus to restore hope…

That same love is available to you today.

Sometimes we think love is only about feelings. But God’s love is bigger than feelings. God’s love is patient when we fail, strong when we are weak, steady when life feels uncertain, and present even when we don’t recognize it.

You may not always feel loved by people.

You may not always feel understood.

You may not always feel valued.

But God’s love never changes.

Romans 8:38–39 reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God—not trouble, not hardship, not fear, not mistakes from our past. That means on your best day and your worst day, God’s love remains the same.

Realizing that changes how we live.

When you understand you are loved by God:

You don’t have to prove your worth. You don’t have to live in fear of rejection. You can love others more freely because you’re already filled with His love.

Today is a perfect day to let God’s love flow through you. Call someone. Encourage someone. Forgive someone. Smile at someone. Sometimes the smallest act of love can be the biggest blessing in someone else’s life.

Remember this today and every day:

You are loved.

You are chosen.

You are never alone.

And when life gets heavy, come back to this simple, powerful truth:

God is love. And His love is for you.

Quote:

No matter how alone you seem to be right now , just be aware that in this precise moment there are huge amounts of people who totally resonate with you,  who share exactly your hopes and desires , who would be most happy to support you just as you , just as you would be happy to support them. Be open to connect with them and allow them to connect with you!

Story:

A man took his children to a restaurant. The six-year-old son asked if he could say grace. As heads were bowed he said, “God is great and God is Good. Let us thank Him for the food, and I would even thank you more if mom gets us ice-cream for dessert. And liberty and justice for all! Amen!”

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby they heard a woman remark, “That’s what’s wrong with this country. Kids today don’t even know how to pray. Asking God for ice cream! Why, I never!”

Hearing this, the son burst into tears and asked, “Did I do it wrong? Is God mad at me?” As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, and elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said, “I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer.” “Really?” the son asked.

“Cross my heart.” Then in theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), “Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes.”

Naturally, Dad bought the boy’s ice cream at the end of the meal. The boy stared at his for a moment and then did something that will be remembered for the rest of life. He picked up his sundae and without a word walked over and placed it in front of the woman.

With a big smile he told her, “Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes and my soul is good already.”
