Don’t Quit Too Soon

Sometimes the hardest part of the journey comes just before we reach the place we’ve been trying so hard to get to.

We pray, work, wait, and keep believing—but after a while, discouragement begins to whisper, “Nothing is changing. Why keep trying?”

That is exactly when we need to remember: You don’t know how close you are.

The farmer doesn’t dig up the seed every morning to see whether it is growing. He plants it, tends the ground, and trusts that something is happening beneath the surface.

Life is often the same way.

Just because you cannot see progress doesn’t mean progress isn’t being made. God may be working in places you cannot see, preparing opportunities you don’t know about, strengthening you through the struggle, and arranging circumstances that have not yet come together.

Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Notice those last three words: “if we faint not.”

There will be days when you are tired. There will be moments when you wonder whether your effort matters. There may even be times when quitting seems easier than continuing.

But don’t make a permanent decision because of temporary discouragement.

Take another step.

Say another prayer.

Try one more time.

Keep doing what is right even when nobody notices.

Keep believing even when you cannot see the answer.

Some of life’s greatest victories belong to people who simply refused to quit.

You may not be where you want to be today, but look how far you’ve already come. You’ve survived difficult days before. You’ve walked through valleys you once wondered whether you could endure.

And you’re still here.

So on this September 18, remind yourself:

I will not quit just because the road is difficult. I will keep going because I believe there is something worth reaching on the other side.

Your breakthrough may be one prayer, one decision, one opportunity, or one more step away.

Don’t quit too soon.
