Story:

CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cellphone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several time a day? What if we

turned back to go get it if we forgot it?What if we used it to receive

messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? What if we used it when we traveled? What

if we used it in case of emergency? This is something to make you

go….hmm…where is my Bible?Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell

phone, we don’t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected

because Jesus already paid the bill.Makes you stop and think “where are my priorities? And no dropped calls

Scripture:

Jude 1:20-21

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Think I have told this one before….

4/26–The photographer for a national magazine was assigned to get photos of a great forest fire. Smoke at the scene hampered him and he asked his home office to hire a plane. Arrangements were made and he was told to go at once to a nearby airport, where the plane would be waiting. When he arrived at the airport, a plane was warming up near the runway. He jumped in with his equipment and yelled, “Let’s go! Let’s go!” The pilot swung the plane into the wind and they soon were in the air. “Fly over the north side of the fire,” yelled the photographer, “and make three or four low level passes.” “Why?” asked the pilot. “Because I’m going to take pictures,” cried the photographer. “I’m a photographer and photographers take pictures!” After a pause the pilot said, “You mean you’re not the instructor?”

Be Transformed Like The Butterfly

Whatever present circumstance you might dislike or find uncomfortable, there is a way forward—a way out.

Change your thinking and you will change your life. Changing your thinking just a little will alter the course of your life dramatically.

The apostle Paul said, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Rom. 12:2). Paul talked a great deal in his letters to the church about changing one’s thinking and putting on “the mind of Christ” (1 Cor. 2:16).

At the heart of it, if we desire a godly life, we must have a godly mind.

The word here for “transformed” is the Greek word metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is a complete and total transformation, where the essence of the thing itself is different.

It’s what happens when a tadpole becomes a frog, when a caterpillar becomes a butterfly, and when a sinner becomes a saint.

It is change at its most radical and extreme.

This is transformation that can happen in your life by “renewing your mind.” It can happen! If you change your thoughts, you will change your existence.

The thoughts that lead to death are those that conform to the pattern of this world. Those aren’t from God. We all need the kinds of thoughts that come from heaven. If we think the way everyone else thinks, we’ll get the results everyone else is getting. For an extraordinary life, we need to dwell on extraordinary thoughts.

Scripture:

Matthew 13:3-8

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.

It is Past Time For Us To Wake Up, Romans 13:11

youtube.com/watch

Time to wake up!

Romans 13:11-14

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
